WOOLCOMBE-STREET.

TO THE EDITOR, OF THE NEW ZKALA-ND TIMES, S IB> I wish to draw the attention of the city authorities to the disgraceful state of Woolcombestreet. It is in a most deplorable state. Ladies and gentlemen going to church to-day had to wado up to their knees in mud. After the money it has cost, I think it should have at least been metalled or a footpath formed; or if the surveyor had only taken the slips away it would have saved the ratepayers at least £SO, and saved a great deal of damage which has been done to vehicles. By inserting this you will oblige a sufferer.—l am, &c, "Wellington, August 15.

Ratepayer.
