Arrived.—Barque Frederick Bassil, from Newcastle ; steamers Wellington and Lyttelton. Sailed.—Barque Camille, for Newcastle. AUCKLAND, Thursday. Arrived. —Hawea, from the South. On Wednesday evening the glass rose considerably, and a strong south-east gale came on during the night. The weather in the South was very cold, the snow lying low on the hills. A heavy sea was running at Tauranga, but had not been observed at other places, according to Thursday's report. The business at the wharf yesterday was at a complete standstill, there being no vessels either loading or unloading. The Richard and Mary, schooner, from Oamaru, reached Plimmer's wharf yesterday at 9 a.m. She left the above place on the sth inst, and experienced fine weather and N.E. winds till arrival. The barque Crusader, from New York, will commence discharging her cargo to-day. The s.s. Kiwi will sail to-day for Napier.
