RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Tuesday, August 10. (Before J. C. Crawford, Esq., R.M.) SUSPICION OF LUNACY. Sarah Flighty was brought before the Court on the above charge. The Bench ordered her removal to the lunatic asylum. ASSAULTING CONSTABLE IN EXECUTION OF DUTY, AND DAMAGING A COAT. Samuel Tyler, convicted of the above offences, was fined 80s., or in default of payment fourteen days’ imprisonment, with hard labor. DRUNKENNESS, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, AND USING OBSCENE LANGUAGE. John Durrett, convicted of the above offences, was fined 405., or inklefault forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. Henry Fleet, convicted of the above offence, was fined 12s. 6d., or in default forty-eight hours imprisonment. Thomas Tierney, convicted of a similar offence, was fined 55., or in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. VAGRANCY. Martha Ford, charged with this offence, was remanded for a week. BREACH OF MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT. Charles Sweeny, prosecuted under this Act, was fined 55., with 9s. costs ; and J. R, George was fined 205., with 14s. costs. CIVIL CASES. There were three civil cases, one in which judgment was entered for the plaintiff, with costs. The other two were adjourned.
