Shirley, Woods, Wnght (2), Master, Walch, Dean, Kane, Smith, and Petersen. HOKITIKA, Thursday. Arrived : Eliza Firth, from Melbourne. She experienced fine weather till arrival. ... . , . ~ The barometer ranged very high yesterday m all parts of the country, and moderate winds were generally experienced, except at Gisborne, where a strong southerly wind was blowing during the day. The weather was reported as extremely fine at The Bluff, with light winds from various directions. The ■wind here was a gentle breeze from the southward, with cloudy sky and occasional showers during the early part of the day.
