At Dunedin on Saturday, June 19, Edwards completed his task of walking a hundred miles in twenty-four hours,, in six minutes under the time. He finished fresh. A challenge, for £25 a side, has been received from W. Edwards, of Dunedin, who offers to hack himself for that amount to walk seven miles while young Delaney runs ten. Delaney left Christchurch for Timaru on June 22, and, after a short stay at the latter place, will proceed to Dunedin, where he expects to arrange a match with Edwards.
