The Customs revenue collected at the port of "Wellington yesterday was as follows;

The following telegram lias been reeceived from the New Zealand Loan and' Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, London :—“lßth June, 1875.—Wool—Sales comprise about 272,000 bales. Six thousand bales have been withdrawn, and 135,000 taken for the Continent. Sales hare closed at an average improvement of Id. to 14d. on last sales prices. The principal advance has been in crossbred and superior washed clothing. Medium and inferior greasy, market rather easier.” MELBOURNE. (From the Argus of the 23rd.) In the import markets business is still quiet, and complaints of dulness very prevalent. At a meeting of the grain trade, held to-day, it was agreed that in future the usage regarding bags should be, that all grain should be charged for gross weight, and that there should be no charge for bags. Breadstuff's are not active, but values are steadily maintained. Flour is firm at £lolos. to £lO 12s. 6d., but only very ordinary sales are reported. We understand that a purchase of Kart’s flour lias been made in Adelaide on Melbourne account at £lO 7s. 6d., for shipment to England. Wheat is firm, and sales have been made under the arrangement arrived at in regard to bags at ss. Id, for prime quality. Oats are in fair request. The business of the day, however, has gone through the auction mart, when CSOO bushels Tasmanian were cleared off at 3s. 3£d* to 3s. skl. for discolored, and 3s. Gd. for common to 3s. 9£d. for good feed ; bags 9d. each. Maize is going off at 4s. Bd., and considerable sales have been made at the price. j The auction sale of sugar this forenoon w'ent off very freely. Some 4588 pockets Mauritius, ex'Sea Eipple, were disposed of, when fine counters realised £32 15a. to £33, yellow brewing crystals sold at £33105., grainy yellow counters brought £32 55., good yellow counters £31155., soft yellow £3O 15s. to £3l, and rations from £2O 15s. to £23. Damaged sold at from £2l to £21155., and £29105. to £32 10s. Privately, we hear of sales of Mauritius medium white crystals at £34 10s, Teas are in moderate request for actual requirements. We note sales of fine medium congous at Is. 9(1. Tobaccoes are firm. Wo observe that a public sale of Childrey’s manufacture will be held to-morrow forenoon. The sales of timber comprise 110,000ffc. red and white T. and G. flooring, in sound condition, sold at from 7s. 9d. to 10s. Cd. and 255. 9d. White pine shelving realised £9 15s. to £ll 12s. 6d.; white pine flooring, £9 15s. to £9 17s. Cd.; clear pine, I4in., £l3 12s. 6d.; and carpenters' clear, £8 2s. Cd. to £9 15s.
