Mails close at the Chief Post Office, "Wellington.as follows JtFor Picton, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Mannkau, per s.a. Wellington, on Friday, at 11 a,m. For Blenheim, per p.s. Xyttelton, -this day, at 4 p.m. For Napier and Poverty Bay, per s.s. Eangatira, this day, at 11 a.ra. For Wanganui, per p.s. Manawatu, on Friday, at 4 p.m. For Foxton, per s.s. Napier, on Saturday, at 11 a.m. , For Lyttelton, Port Chalmers' and .Bluff, per s.s. Ladybird, this day, at 3 p.m. - Edward D. Butts, Chief Postmaster. The steamer Omeo Is expected to leave Dunedin at 1 p.m. on Friday, the 25th instant. Telegrams for the Australian colonies or Europe via Java cable, will be received at the Wellington Telegraph Office for transmission to Melbourne up till 11 a.m. of the 25th instant.
