Melbourne via the Bluff.—Alhainbra, s.s,. this (lay. Northern Ports.—'Wellington, 3.3., 25th inst. Callao.— Hindostan, ship, shortly. The s.s. Taranaki took her departure for the North punctually to her advertised time on Saturday morning. Sho took a number of passengers and a general cargo of exports for all ports. The steamers Phoebe, Stormblrd, and Napier were detained in harbor until yesterday morning, owing to the strong southerly buster which blew with considerable force, accompanied by heavy rain, during., the whole of Saturday. The topsail schooner Crest of the Wave arrived from Dunedin, via Boat Harbor, on Saturday morning, with a cargo of grain, consigned to Mr. G. Thomas. She left on the 12th, and experienced fine weather and light airs until entering the Strait, thence, until arrival, strong southerly winds. The schooner Friendship cleared outwards for Nelson on Saturday, with a cargo of railway iron. The ketches Elizabeth and Thames cleared out on Saturday: the former for Picton, and the latter for "Wanganui. The Union Steamship Company, of Dunedin, have appointed Messrs. levin and Co. as agents to their new line of vessels. Plans of the Hawea and Taupo can be seen at their office. It is expected that the Hawea will commence her running between interprovincial ports early in July. ,< As customary in all cases relating to shipping matters, namely, wrecks, and collisions at sea, &c, an inquiry was held on Saturday, before the Deputy Collector of Customs, concerning the Tecent loss of the ketch William and Mary. Captain Stevens's evidence was a recapitulation of the facts already published in these columns, with one notable exception, namely, that Captain Stevens affirms-that during the three days he was exposed to so much privation and suffering he felt not the slightest pangs of hunger or thirst, and it was not until he was rescued by Captain Renner that he expressed a wish for a little water to assuage his thirst. The barque Harriet Armitage, Captain Mailler, .reports leaving Dunedin with a cargo of breadstuffs for this port on Sunday, the 13th inst. Experienced calms and light airs till the 16th; thence until arrival had strong N.W. and S.E. winds. She is lying at the fairway, awaiting a berth, as at present everyone is -filled by late arrivals. The s.s, Ino, Captain Bonner, arrived from Havelock and Pelorns Sound yesterday afternoon with a cargo of timber. • The Ino left Pelorus Sound on Friday morning, but was windbound in Tory Channel until yesterday morning. BY TELEGRAPH. AUCKLAND, Saturday. The Cyphrenes sailed between four and five o'clock. She took twelve saloon passengers from Auckland, among them Miss Christian. Sailed : Sir Isaac Newton, from Waflgaroa, for Melbourne. LYTTELTON, Saturday. Arrived : XXX, from Blenheim; Eichard and Mary, from Havelock; Hopeful, from Newcastle. Sailed : Omeo, s.s., for Oamaru, Dunedin, and Greymouth. ; GRAHAMSTOWN", Saturday. Arrived: Maori, from Dunedin, at noon. - Sails for Dunedin, via The Bluff and Jackson's Bay, to-morrow morning.
