A man named Pinford has been missing from Bulls for the past three weeks. He had for some time been in the employ of Captain Fergusson, of the Oroua Downs, but left on account of ill health, and proceeded to Sandon for medical advice. On the road he called at Mr. T. Sansom's store, and bought a cap and lib. of butter ; since which time, he has not been heard of. He is a man about 35 years of age, and was at one time a cabdriver in Wellington, where he has a sister residing.

As might have been anticipated, the announcement of the emotional drama, "Leah the Forsaken," drew a large house to the Theatre Royal on Saturday evening. The part of the neglected and deceived Jewess of course fell to Miss Colville, and the rendering she gave of it was received with the utmost enthusiasm. The curse scene was particularly effective, and at the fall, of the curtain both Miss Colville and Mr. Booth were honored with a double call. The two concluding scenes were very well played, as evidenced by the free use of handkerchiefs by the lady portion of the audience. Mr. Booth's Rudolph was a good performance, and Mr. Hoskins, who had but little to do as Ludwig, made the most of his part. Nathan was powerfully played by Mr. Burford, and if Mr. Hesford had spoken rather than jerked out his words, the character Lorenz would have been produced to a nicety. This evening the eminently sensational piece, " The Pilot," is to be produced, with mechanical effects of the best possible description. We are requested to draw attention to Hie very important sale of furniture and building material at the ■ residence of E. \V. Mills, Terrace, Esq., this day. The building material will be sold at onSlb'clock precisely.
