The wind suddenly chopped round to the N.W. early yesterday morning, blowing with considerable force during the greater part of the day, and towards night there was every indication of a strong buster from that quarter. The wind was piercingly cold, and blew the dust- about in all directions, making it very unpleasant to those whose business required their presence out of doors. The s.s. She left Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. on the 2nd, arriving at Lyttelton at 10.30 a.m. on the 3rd, having experienced fine weather. Left Lyttelton at 6,15 p.m. same day, and arrived as above. The Wellington brought sixty tons of cargo and forty passengers for this port. We are indebted to Mr. Wilcox, purser, for our files and other favors. The A.B.P.
