A New Zealand Gazelle, issued last night, contains ;—Proclamation giving the District Court of Otago power to have cognizance of all felonies and indictable misdemeanors, since those excepted by the 4th clause of the Act ; proclamation of a bridge at the upper crossing, Manawatu, and scale of tolls at same ; Order in Council making and confirming by-laws, &c., for the Auckland and Mercer railway ; alteration and re-definition of _ Tokatoka Petty Sessions District ; .Order in Council under the Public Health Act for the province of Auckland ; reservation of sites for telegraph and post-offices at -Roxburgh and Oamaru, Otago; appointment of Licensing Courts at Temuka, Waimate, and Ashburton, Canterbury ; fixing of sittings of District Court for Otago Goldfields; notice of intention of Government to negotiate for the purchase of certain native lands; notice of election of members of Hawke's Bay Provincial Council; allowance of Acts of Wellington Provincial Council; appointments and resignations; notices to mariners; Land Transfer Act notices ; notices under the Mining Act, &c.
