RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Tuesday, May 25. (Before J. C. Crawford, Esq., R.M.) INDECENCY. Charles Muir was brought up on remand, charged with having indecently exposed himself in a public place ; also, with having assaulted James Linley. Prisoner was convicted on both charges, and for each offence was sentenced to a month's imprisonment, one sentence to be cumulative upon the other. DRUNKENNESS AND VAGRANCY. Stephen Cooper pleaded guilty to a charge of this nature, and was sentenced to a month's imprisonment, with hard labor. REMANDS. John Parker and Samuel Cumming, charged with having on the previous day assaulted Sergeant Ready and Constable Wagland while executing their duties, were remanded till Thursday. Edward Sheehan and John Gallagher, with felony, were remanded till Friday. crra cases. Cone v. Symonds.—Claim for £8 Is. 4d., goods, &c. Judgment for full amount. Several other summonses for Bmall debts were returnable, but settlement had been effected out of court.
