TO CORRESPONDENTS.
“ Ciiandos ” writes to us regarding the recent action of .the Banks, in the matter of interest bn deposits. As there is nothing new in the letter, which chiefly consists of an extract from a commercial article in the Otago Daily Tima, it is unnecessary to publish it. Doubtless the Banks have committed a blunder, and withdrawn a great deal of capital from ordinary business operations; but what can’t be cured must be endured.
