GEORGE THOMAS has received instructions from a gentleman leaving his residence, to sell by auction, on Tuesday, 25th May, at 2 o’clock, at his auction mart in Brandon-street, the following very choice articles of furniture, which are really very handsome, the carpet being a beautiful Brussels, handsome pattern for a drawing-room, and quite new; the whole consisting of— Cheffonier, dresser, sofas, oval table, dining tables, washstands, Brussels carpets, chairs, fenders, fireirons, and an assortment of useful articles, too numerous to mention. Terms cash, no reserve. Sale at 2 o’clock, immediately after the freehold property in Karon and Palmerston. Blow, to sell by public auction, on the premises, Adelaide road, on Friday, 28th May, at 2 o'clock— The lease of Town Acre 768, together with buildings and other improvements thereon, viz., four-roomed house, let at 15s. per week; currier's shop, store-room, wool - store, stable, and cart shed. The whole of the buildings are covered by insurance to the extent of £l6O. Also, Lime pits, tan pits, See. DUNCAN has been favored with instructions from J ames Gillioan, Esq., to sell by public auction, on Friday, 28th instant, at 2 o’clock, at his sale rooms—--180 acres good timbered land, in the BELMONT DISTRICT, Nos. 348, 349, 352 —of 60 acres each—about seven or eight miles from the Hutt bridge. The new road from Belmont to Pahautanui is laid through the sections.
