PICTON WHARF.

Sin, —To let you know the state the Picton wharf is allowed to remain in, I may mention that on Saturday afternoon my son, aged seven years, fell through a hole into the water, which was about 14ft. from the wharf, and might have been drowned had I not been there to have picked him up. The hole is largeenough for mo to go through, which I did.—l am, &c., W. Short, ketch Elizabeth. Picton. May 10. [Surely the provincial authorities of Marlborough will have the wharf repaired.— Ed.]
