The Gazette of Thursday contains the following announcements : RAILWAY DEVIATIONS. Descriptions, lines, and limits of deviation of a further portion of the railway from XCaipara to Hiverhead—Helensville terminus extension ; of a farther portion of the Waitara to Wanganui railway—Sentry Hill to Mangawhete ; of a portion of the Foxtou to Manawatu railway—Foxtou to Palmerston ; and of a further portion of the Mount Rochfort to Westport railway—from six miles twenty chains to ten miles. HER majesty’s ASSENT has been given to the following reserved measures : —An Act to provide for the more equitable Disposal in certain cases of the Real Estate of Persons dying Intestate ; and an Act to authorise the Legislatures of Provinces in Ne .v Zealand to empower Courts of Law to hear and determine questions arising under the Laws of such Provinces providing for the Construction and Maintenance of Dividing Pences. APPOINTMENTS. William James Rodgerson to be an Emigration Officer under The Passengers Act, 1855 ; Alfred Greenfield, Esq., to be Auditor of the Public Accounts of the Province of Nelson, vice H. D. Jackson, Esq., resigned ; Captain Frederick Charles Rowan, New Zealand Militia, to command the Volunteers in the Dunedin District ; Francis Stevens to be Captain in the Wellington Artillery Volunteer Cadets ; Lieut-Colonel William 0. Lyon, Inspector, Armed Constabulary, has been appointed Acting-Commissioner of k the Armed Constabulary Force, during the absence, on leave, of Lieut.-Colonel Monle; William Alfred Gardner, Accountant, Colonial Architect’s Office, from 6th October, 1875 ; Charles Edward Beatson, Assistant to Colonial Architect, from 17th May, 1574 ; Aythur Dudley Dobson, Resident Engineer, from Ist April, 1875. REGULATIONS. Under section 11 of The Steam Navigation ; Act Amendment Act, 1873. RAILWAY TRAFFIC. On the Wellington and Masterton Railway, for the four weeks ending 24th April:—Passengers (8275) ££324 16s. lid. ; three season tickets, £ls 12s. 9d. ; parcels, &e., £5 9s. 2d. ; goods (316 tons), £63 10s. 2d. ; total, £409 9s.
