Mails close at the Chief Post Office, ‘Wellington, as follows: For Picton, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Manukau, per fl.s. Ladybird, on Thursday, at 11 a.m. For Sandwich Islands, America, the West Indies, Europe, &c., via San Francisco, per s.s. Taranaki, on Tuesday, 11th inst., at 10 a.m. Money orders and registered letters on previous day, at 5 p.m. For Nelson, Westport, Greymouth, Hokitika, and Australia, per s.s. Otago, this day, at 10 a.m. For Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Bluff, per s.s. Wellington, on Wednesday, at 3 p.m. For Europe, via Suez (for correspondence specially addressed), India, China, &c., per s.s. Albion, on Friday, at 12.30 p.m. Edward D. Butts, Chief Postmaster.
