Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington, as follows: For Napier and Poverty Bay, per a.s. Rangatira, this day, at 4 p.m. For Wanganui, per p.s. Manawatu, this day, at 1 p.m. For Foxton, per a.s. Napier, this day at 1 p.m. For Nelson, Westport, Greymouth, Hokitika, and Australia, per s.s. Otago, this day, at 11 a.m. For Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and. Bluff, per s.s. Wellington, on Wednesday, at 3 p.m. For Europe, via Suez (for correspondence specially addressed), India, China, &c., per s.s. Albion, on Friday, at 12.39 p.m. On and after the 3rd inst., the afternoon mail for the Hutt will close at 3.30 instead of 2.15, and the morning mail from the Hutt will close at that office at 9.30 instead of 10.
