NEW ZEALAND INSURANCE COMPANY.
» “‘TO THE EDITOR. - Sib,—Permit me to correct an error made by Councillor Dransfleld, in his speech on the subject of establishing a City Insurance Society. Mr. Dransfleld is reported to have said “ that the New Zealand Insurance Company was in the hands of some seventy or eighty shareholders." I beg to inform him, and the public, such is not the case, and if he will call on the agents of the company, Messrs. Bethune and Hunter, they will show him a list of the present proprietary, numbering nearly three hundred shareholders, resident in all parts of the colony.—l am, &c.. Geo. P. Pierce, Manager. Wellington, May 1.
