Auctions. THURSDAY, Bth APRIL. SAW AND FLOUR MILLS, WAIRAEAPA. MR. GEORGE THOMAS is instructed by Messrs. Benjamin Smith and Co. to offer for sale by PUBLIC AUCTION, at his rooms, Lambtou-quay, on Thursday, the Bth of April, at 2 o'clock, that magnificent property in the Wairarapa district, known as the BELVEDERE SAW AND FLOUR MILLS. This valuable estate is situate at the Taratahi, Wairarapa, a few miles from Greytown, and about sixty miles from Wellington. The proposed line of railway is laid off within about fifteen chains of the Mills, and it is anticipated that a station will be placed in close proximity. At present there is a good metalled road up to the Mills. The Freehold consists of 1160 acres of splendid Totara bush, with a fair sprinkling of pines ; it is allowed by competent judges to be THE FINEST TOTARA BUSH In the Wairarapa. The land, when'cleared, is admirably ■ adapted for agricultural purposes. The Saw-mill is one of the most complete in the province, worked by engines combining 40-horse power. The Flour-mill is worked by waterpower, and is furnished with machinery of the most approved description. Both Mills are in full working order. The buildings on the land, in addition to the mill houses, comprise blacksmith’s shop, two comfortable dwelling-houses, six cottages for workmen, five-stalled stable, &c., &c.
