GREYTOWN SCHOOL BOARD.
A meeting of the trustees of the Greytown School was held in the Wairarapa Institute on the Bth instant. .Present —Messrs. Lucas (Chairman)., Kempton; Walken, and : Humphries. The Chairman stated that that he hadr received an application from the former trustees of the town-hall for the payment of £IOO, ithe balance of purchase-money due for' the .townhall property. ' ' • ' It was resolved that the deed from C. K. Carter, Samuel Moles, and H. H. Jackson to W. B. Hastwell and others, be cancelled and the money paid. Two letters were read from the Secretary of the Board of Education, dated respectively the 11th and 17th February, 1875, relative to the erection of the new school-house and teachers' residence. ■■ /..." .■'.:.,'.' ■ It-was-resolved-that-the Secretary be instnidteffto reply to the letters from the'Edu-, cation Board, stating s that' the trustees do not wish to place any obstacle in the way of the Board■ proceeding at once with'the erection of the new school buildings, -'and that the £IOO will be handed over immediately the tenders are accepted. ..-■■. . • ' The meeting then adjourned.
