CRICKET.

The return match at cricket between the Colte and the Karori. Cricket Clubs took place on Saturday afternoon <m Spiers paddock, Karori, resulting in an easy victory for the Colts, in one imring% arid- with 22 runs to spare. The Colts were the first to handle the willow, and succeeded, in running up a score of 61 runs, despite the smart fielding of the Karori Karori Club then went to the wickets, retiring, after a short existence, for 25, -tW_-aot having: made half the score of the Cote. - They were again sent to the wickets, but were disposed of for 14. On the conclusion ol the match both teams sat down iu the schoolhouse" to an excellent dinner, provided b, the local team, after which three hearty cheers were given by the Colts for the Karori team, ■who responded .with equal good-will.
