Ik was intended that she should have got away at four yesterday afternoon, but the discharge of a large cargo from Lyttelton and Port .Chalmers- delayed her till after dark. She would, by leaving rWellington at midnight, make the narrow entrance of Tory Channel by daylight this morning. . : , , The schooner Melbourne, for Melbourne,’ proceeded on her voyage to Lyttelton yesterday morping with her cargo of blasting powder. /. \ . . r The steamer Manawatu, from Nelson, with excursionists, arrived af half-past ten* o’clock yesterday morning, after.a protracted r passage..of thirty-five hours. From Napier she will come on to Wellington, and sail hence to Newcastle.
