" Tis pleasing, sure, to'see one’s name in print." p l -Ju your issue of .the Kith inst. appears a letter from Mr. .Kevans; correcting misstatements made by him in ;a. letter, which appeared in your paper of November ,«oth, relative to the Eimutaka Tunnel: and as his last letter is quite as wide of the truth as any of his previous ones, one cannot help feeling keenly for troubles in store for that worthy gentleman, who seems destined to an everlasting and hopeless undertaking, viz,, correcting his own corrections. It is a-pity; that Mr. Eevans cannot make himself -personally - acquainted :ivith the various matters .on .which he writes, instead of twaddling forth to the public, through the Press, every idle rumor he may chance to hear in bis retirement - lor it seems pretty evident that some of the Wairarapa wags have been quizzing him. . I trust Hr. Eevans will not take it amiss if a stranger should recommend him to leave the Eimutaka Tunnel and Hint Bridge to be dealt with by the, Government and contractors and devote his latent energies towards developing the Eimutaka coal-mine, which he was the means of discovering to the world. ,By that course he will benefit the district and the country generally.—Ae.j , Tr ... . . _ , i .Aw Qu>'Samnaln.
