NOTICE is hereby given that there will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Crown Lands Office, Provincial Government Buildings, Wellington, on THURSDAY, 25th FEBRUARY, 1875, at eleven o’clock, forenoon, the following Crown lands, viz : 1 4 valuable BUILDING SITES, situated in the Te Aro Pa Reserve, City of Wellington 2126 acres of PASTORAL LAND in the East Coast district 1 section AGRICULTURAL LAND : in the Taratahi Plain Block, Wairarapa district, and , , 1 section inßangitikei district.,, , Also, . 340 TOWN and 126 SUBURBAN SECTIONS situated in the township of Bunnythorpe, Manawatu district... The Township of Barmy thorpe is situated at the junction from which the railway lines to Napier, Wanganui, and Foxton radiate, and is within a moderate distmce of Palmerston. The land is of the richest quality, consisting of flat bush, and the .whole district abounds with the most valuable timber. The township possesses a frontage to the railway several miles .in length. The Town Sections vary from J-acre to 7 acres each, and the Suburban sections are from 10 to 70 acres each. The terms of payment are-—lO per cent, of the purchase money payable on the fall ef the hammer, and the remainder in one month, or the original deposit is forfeited. 3 The lithographed plans of the sections will be ready for distribution in a few days. Gazettes, showing the size and upset prices of the sections to be offered for sale, can be obtained at the Crown Lands Office, Wellington; or from the following agents ;—: H. I. Crown Lands Office, Wellington, January 23, 1875. OALE OF .GOVERNMENT LAND IN lO THE PROVINCE OF TARANAKI. The Waste Lands Board announce the first of a series of LAND SALES in the province of Taranaki, being 94 allotments of RURAL LAND, varying in area from 20 to 300 acres. A portion of these allotments to be sold on deferred payments, and the balance by auction, for cash. . This land is situate in the Moa. Block, on the north-east side of Mount Egmont; and is first-class level, forest land, varying in character from scrub to heavy timber, such as rimu, kahikatea, rata, and tawa. The land is well watered by streams that never fail during the driest summer, and on many places there are available water-powers. . The block is traversed, by the Waitara-Wanganui Railway, nowin course of construction ; and it is.expected to be completed to the township of Inglewood, at the commencement of the block, in : about eighteen months. . This, line will render the land easily accessible from Waitara or New Plymouth. In the mean time a good road is being formed by the Provincial Government ; and the district roads will also be Opened up a chain wide through the forest, so as to make, each allotment accessible from the main line of railway, thus retaining a considerable proportion of the money derived from the sale of the land to the district in making local improvements. The land is well adapted to working settlers of | small capital, as it is easily accessible, has abundance of timber for building, fencing, fuel, and shelter, never-failing streams of water, and a very productive soil. Plans of the allotments and schedules of area, and upset price, may be seen at the Crown Lands Office, where the Land Regulations of the province may also be seen. ■ . , ■ The allotments of, land set apart for selection on deferred payments will be open for selection to applicants or agent at the Waste Lands Office, New Plymouth, on the 13th February, at 10 a.m. The sale by auction will take place at the Odd Fellows’ Hall, New Plymouth, on SATURDAY, the 20th February, at 10 a.m. By order of the Board, C.
