There is no change of any consequence in the import trade of the past week, which lias proved a dull and unimportant one; Generally speaking, prices arc depressed and in favor of the buyer. A large quantity of goods were cleared, the sale amounting to close on £2OOO. In New Zealand produce, butter in kegs is un. altered in value, with little or no demand; cheese and bacon scarce, and r deablo "our last week’s quotations : flour, steady a', last v. eek’s rates; oats in moderate supply, and td-cks t.* old oats becoming low, although the exceptionally hot weather will prevent any material difference in value between old and new crop. Holders are asking Gs. 9d. to Gs. 3d. for old oats, but as the new crop must be ready for shipment, and is said to have been a good one, we see no probability that these rates will improve.
