It offers all the runny advantages of a private institute, conducted on the highest principles. It aims—l. At uniting the elements of Modern education, as comprising the English, German, French, and Italian Languages and Literature, Mathematics, the Natural Sciences, Commerce, &c, with the cultivation of the Latin and Greek Languages, Literature, and History. 2. At accomplishing its object thoroughly, with the least possible loss of time, but without overburdening its pupils, and thus exhausting their capacity and desire for learning. This end is attained by thorough organisation and a carefully-arranged plan of study regulated (as far as practicable) according to the destiny of each pupil, whether it be the Merchant's Office, Civil Service, Military College, the English, German, or Australian Universities. The Boarding Establishment is under careful supervision. It is complete, having a suite of lofty, well-ventilated bedrooms, with bathrooms and lavatory, and affords accommodation for twenty boarders. The table is liberally supplied, and in all the arrangements, domestic or pertaining to the school, the utmost care is exercised to ensure the happiness and well-being of the pupils. ItELIGION, MORAL TRAINING, AND DISCIPLINE. The school is entirely unsectarian. No opportunity will be neglected of cultivating , amongst the pupils an honorable tone of feeling, and strict regard to truth, while the strictest order and obedience will be insisted on. With a view to encouraging physical exercise, the playground has been furnished with gymnastic appliances, and will shortly be under the guidance of a competent Drill Instructor. Young gentlemen are eligible for admission from the ages of eight to sixteen. The number of Day Pupils is limited. Special time and individual attention will be bestowed upon those whose education has been neglected. School Hours :—From 9 to 12, and from to 4. Terms :—Further nartieulars on application.
