Lambton-quay and WilUa-strect, ■Wellington, November 14, 1874. WE beg respectfully to notify to our customers and the public generally that we have received over 400 cases new and choice goods for the present season. We are therefore now prepared with a large and wellassorted stock in every department. Not only is our stock much more extensive this season than formerly, embracing-thc most serviceable makes and qualities of Drapery and domestic goods, together with a choice collection of the very latest novelties for the summer trade—But in addition, the extent o! our trade has enabled us to import many items direct from the manufacturers, thus avoiding all intervening profits, and bringing the consumer into close relationship with the manufacturer. We especially wish to direct attention to our stock of COSTUMES, MILLIN33RY, and DIIESS MATERIALS (see advertisement). AVe invite the inspection of heads of families before making their season’s purchases. ,7. MoDOWELL & CO; OITI. ZEN’S BALL TO HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR AND THE MARCHIONESS OF NORMANBY.
