The Township is situated at the junction from which the Railway Lines to. Napier, Wanganui, and Foxton radiate, and is within a moderate distance from Palmerston. The laud is of the richest quality, consisting of flat bush, and the whole district abounds with the most valuable timber. The township possesses a frontage to the Railway several miles in length.
