The barque Zelia hauled alongside the wharf yesterday morning, and broke cargo during the day. The steamer Luna arrived at the Manokau from Wellington at nine o'clock yesterday morning. The steamers Napier and Stormbird—the former from Foxton and the latter from Wanganui—may be expected to arrive at daylight this morning. The steamer Taranaki, Captain "Wheeler, arrived at . noon yesterday from Port Chalmers and Lyttelton, She will sail North to-day. : ■ The steamer Wellington, Captain Carey, arrived yesterday morning from Manukau, Taranaki, Nelson, and Picton. She left again yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock for Southern ports. McMeckan and Blackwood's fine steamer Albion, , Captain Underwood, arrived yesterday morning from Melbourne via the Bluff, Port Chalmers, and Lyttelton, making the run from the latter port in less than fifteen hours. Her cargo for this port was not large ; but six horses and three valuable ewe 3 were safely • -landed. She left again at nine last evening for Melbonme, via Nelson and West Coast. The steamer Star of the South, Captain Farquhar, arrived last evening from Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, en route for. Auckland and Fiji. She brought five horses and twenty sheep for this port. The Star will resume her vovage North to-day. • The barque Planter proceeded on her voyage to Newcastle yesterday afternoon, but, the wind coming up from the southward, she anchored in Worser Bay. Alexander Hall and /Co., Aberdeen, an iron sailing vessel named the Avalanche. Itobert Duncan and Co. launched from . their shipbuilding yard at I'ort Glasgow, an iron clipper ship of 1250 tons register, named the Wellington, for Messrs. P. Henderson and Co.'s line of New Zealand emigrant ships. She was at once towed into the East Harbor, where her masts and spars will be shipped, and will bo otherwise finished previous to being berthed, . . Twal Tjur.—On September 14, the Normanby, »., went on trial between the Cloch and Cambrac Lights, and, in spite of the heavy gale, attained a speed of . thirteen knots. The Normanby was built and cngined by Messrs. Henderson. Coulbourn and Co., for . the Eastern and Australian Mail Steam Company, for their new line from Singapore to Australia, via the Torres Strait, and is a sister ship to the Somerset, lately delivered by Messrs.
