THEATRE ROYAL.

“ Fettered” was repeated to a too limited audience at the Theatre Royal last evening’. The drama went even better than on the first night of its production, the audience testifying its appreciation by loud and continuous applause. Miss Clara Stejfiiensou rendered the character of the unfortunate and 'persecuted Mrs. Fortescue with the ability for which she is well-known. Mr. Hydes’ Tom Tit was undoubtedly the character of the play, the several phases of London life being enacted with the humor and versatility of which Mr. Hydes is a complete master. Miss Jessie Raymond and Mr. Thorpe, as Lottie Warrener and Jasper Blythe, made the most of the characters entrusted to them. Of the other members of the company who assisted at the production of “Fettered” little need be said, the burden of the drama falling entirely upon those already mentioned. Mr. Charles Massey’s birdfancier's shop scene was vociferously applauded, the audience testifying its appreciation by requesting him to appear before the curtain to receive their acknowledgments, a request, however, which was not complied with. The company will jiresent “The Lady of Lyons” to-night, Avhen we hope their efforts will be rewarded by a large attendance to witness this popular play.
