IMPORTANT SALE OF 15,000 ACRES OF LAND IN THE MANCHESTER BLOCK, Manawatu. Messes, bethune & hunter have received instructions to sell by public auction, at their Sale-room, Custom-house quay, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 22nd and 23rd December, commencing each day at 11 o’clock in the forenoon. 15,000 acres of land, divided into town, suburban, and country sections, being a portion of the block purchased by the Hon. Colonel Feilding for colonisation by the Emigrant and Colonists Aid Corporation. The land to be offered for sale includes most of the unoccupied allotments in the township of Feilding and the adjoining suburban and rural sections. The sections have all been surveyed, most of the road lines are cleared, and are now in course of formation. There are upwards of 1000 people already settled in and about the township of Feilding, and the greater part of the land offered for sale abuts upon the main line of railway now in course of construction from Wanganui to Wellington, Napier, and Foxton. The land is level, rich, and well watered, partly open and partly bush. Many of the sections are covered with valuable totara, matai, red and yellow pure timber, and as the railway to the Port of Foxton from Feilding will be completed within twelve months, and the line to Wanganui is also being rapidly proceeded with, this sale offers special inducements to saw-mill owners and persons engaged in the timber trade. Lithographed plans of the sections, and schedules of upset prices, may be had at a coat of two shillings each. Title, Crown Grant, or Land Transfer Certificate. Terms of payment—Ten per cent, in cash on the fall of the hammer, and the balance in cash within one month from the day of sale. Lunch will be provided each day at one o’clock.
