WESLEYAN DISTRICT MEETING.

Thursday, November 19. The proceedings having, as usual, begun by singing a hymn and reading a portion of Scripture, the Secretary engaged in prayer. The minutes of the previous meeting wore read and confirmed. The meeting recommended to Conference a yearly literary examination for probationers. A written sermon by each of the candidates having been read, their examination papers were considered at length. The afternoon session opened with praise, and the chairman offered prayer. The time was principally occupied with the oral examination of the candidates. . This being satisfactorily concluded, The chairman informed Messrs. Luxford, Russell, and Leitch that the meeting unanimously recommended Conference to accept them on probation. The schedules for the financial district meeting were then prepared. The benediction was pronounced at 5.M p.m.
