The schooners Rose of Eden and Day Dawn, and ketch Elizabeth, sailed for their several destinations yesterday morning. A Missing Schooner—Very serious apprehensions are entertained for the safety of the schooner Cambria, which left Port Chalmers for Timani on the 9th inst. Nothing had been heard of her at Timaru when the Maori left on Wednesday, and it is feared that she came to grief in the heavy S.W. weather of the 12th and 13th. She may possibly have been dismasted and driven off the land, but even under those circumstances her case would be desperate unless enough of the wreck were recovered to rig jury with. The little vessel has been twenty-one days absent.— Otayo Daily Times, October 30.
