This herd has been bred from cows purchased from Messrs. Morton Brothers and Leach, of Victoria, at their sale in 3807, the excellence of whose stock ia too well known to need any comment. Mr. Bell's original selections comprised the "April Mower" tribe, all of which were large prize-takers, and pronounced by the Australian press as being some of tl>« very best animals ever exhibited by those celebrated breeders. The aire used in this herd ia " Prince Frederick," bred by the late William Robertson, Esq., of Colac, Victoria, out of the imported cow " Fanny," by the " Beau."
