TENDERS will be received at the Council Chambers, Oamaru, on or before 11th NOVEMBER, 1874, for the whole or any portion of £25,000 (twenty-five thousand pounds) VALUE of CORPORATION BONDS. The Bonds are issuable under the authority and provisions of the “ Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1565 bear interest at the rate of six per centum per annum, payable half-yearly, at the option of any purchaser in either London, Melbourne, Dunedin, Oamaru ; and are secured on the Town Ratos. The Bonds are for .£IOO each, or such higher amount as may be arranged with any purchaser, and will bo redeemable in the year 1904. The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted. TENDERS for the Purchase of Debentures to the amount of Twenty Thousand Pounds, in sums of One Hundred Pounds each, will be received by the Council until 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 1874. The debentures are secured upon the rentals of the City Endowments, and interest thereon at 6 per cent, per annum will be payable on the 20th day of October and April in each year. £15,000 will be required on 20th October next. £SOOO will be required on 20th December next. DEBENTURES WANGANUI BOROUGH CORPORATION. Issued under Act of General Assembly, dated 21st October, 1872. THE BANK OF AUSTRALASIA has been instructed by the Wanganui Borough Corporation to invite tenders for the whole or any portion of debentures, representing Thirty thousand pounds, and bearing interest at six per cent., payable half-yearly. The debentures will be payable in twenty years, and will be dated Ist November, 1874. They will be for (£100) one hundred pounds each, and the coupons attached for each halfyear’s interest will be made payable free of exchange at any office of the Bank of Australasia in New Zealand. A minimum price will be fixed before the tenders are opened. Tenders in accordance with the annexed form will be received by the Bank of Australasia at Wanganui, up to NOON of the 31st day of OCTOBER, 1874, and must be addressed “ Tender for Wanganui Borough Corporation Loan.” Payment will bo required as follows ; Five per cent., on amount applied for, to accompany tender, fifty per cent., on amount allotted, on or before the 15th day of November, 1874 ; fifty per cent, on amount allotted on or before the 15th day of December, 1874. The amount of deposit will be applied towards the payment due 15th November, 1874.
