This herd has been bred from cows purchased from Messrs. Morton Brothers and Leach, of Victoria, at their sale in 1867, the excellence of whose stock is too well known to need any comment. Mr. Beil’s original selections comprised the “April Flower” tribe all of which were large prize-takers, and pronounced by the Australian press as being some of the very best animals ever exhibited by those celebrated breeders. The sire used in this herd is “Prince Frederick,” bred by the late William Robertson, Esq., of Colac, Victoria, out of the imported cow “Fanny,” by the “Beau.” Catalogues, with full of . each’ animal, may be had upon application to the undersigned.
