He is by the renowned Clydesdale Stallion Champion (imported), out of the celebrated prize mare Matchless (imported). Lobd Raglan took first prize as a 2-year-old colt; as a 3-year-old, he won the first and second pri''<w> against all ages, at the Agricultural Sh Clutha; at the Agricultural Show, Tokomuiriro, he won the first prize, a Silver Medal, jainst all-comers; at the Agricultural Show, _iiieri, 1870, he also gained the first prize, beating twelve others; as a 4-year-old, in 1871, lie gained first prize, a Silver Modal, at the Agricultural Show, Invereargill; and likewise won £4O premium against ten horses the same year.
