(Before Mr. Justice Johnston.) Wednesday, Joey 22. The Vico Admiralty Court and Divorce Court were formally opened, _ and, as no business was set down for hearing, were adjourned sine die. SITTINGS IN BANKRUPTCY. In rc John Frederick Boyd.—Mr. Allan appeared in support of the application for a discharge. The application, which was unopposed, was °rc Eodolphe Lawrcntz. —Mr. Borlase, instructed by Mr. Cheeseman, appeared in application for an adjournment, as no report had been sent in by tho trustee. As the solicitor engaged in the case did not appear, but sent an excuse that he was rather deaf that

morning, and the insolvent stated that he bad paid about £9 to bis solicitor, Mr. Gbeeseman, on account of the case, His Honor directed the Registrar to inquire fully into the matter, and demand an explanation from Mr. Cheeseman. The application was allowed to stand over. In re John Head.—Mr. Borlase, instructed by Mr. Cheeseman, appeared for the petitioner. Mr. Moorbouse appeared for the elected trustee and the creditors generally, and objected to the case being heard at present, as notice of intention to apply for a discharge bad not been given. His Honor, on reference, 'found that the notice had only been published in that morning’s paper, and directed that the conduct of the solicitor in this matter also should bo inquired into, as money had been paid by the insolvent in the matter. The case was allowed to stand over. SITTINGS IN BANCO. Steele v. Hutchison and Keogh v. Same.— His Honor delivered judgment in these cases, which had been argued on the previous day. The plea was bad, consequently judgment was'iu support of demurrer. Notice of appeal was given by the Attorney-General. - Allen v. Anderson. —Kule nisi refused by consent. The Attorney-General applied for leave to appeal, which was granted, Mr. Travers, for defendant, undertaking to show cause. Williamson v. Peymam—Mr. Travers appeared for defendant in support of demurrer to declaration. The Attorney-General, instructed by Mr. Quick, for plaintiff. Judgment reserved.
