(Before Mr. Justice Johnston.) JAMES V. EDMONDS AND ANOTHER This was an • action to recover a s jction of land in Wanganui, with a claim of £IOO mesne profits for occupation of tho property. Mr. Travers for the plaintiff. Conveyances were produced from John Gotty to Thomas Rowe, dated April 7,1860, of section 28, and part of section 29, and from Thomas Rowe to Ivor James. Ivor James stated tho defendant had been in possession of the property since May, 1867, although he had nover conveyed it to him. The average value was about nine to ten shillings a week. Judgment was given for the plaintiff for amount claimed, and for recovery of section.
