TENDERS will be received at this office until NOON of SATURDAY, the 25th day of July, 1874, for the supply and delivery of 40,000 feet of TIMBER, for the Pattern shops at the Railway Stations of Auckland and Dunedin. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside “Tender for Timber for Pattern shops.” Specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices at Wellington, Auckland, Christ church, and Dunedin. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any telegraph office by NOON of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer’s office by the same hour. OF CROWN Notice is hereby given that 47,000 acres, more or less, of Crown Lands, divided into Suburban and Rural Sections; situated in the PARAE-KARETU BLOCK, West Coast, and distant ten miles from the township of Marton, Upper Kangitikei, will be sold by public auction, at this .office, on or about Ist September. The Parae-Karetu Block, hereafter to lie called, “The Township of Hunter,” is easily accessible both from Wanganui and Rangitikei. Part of the land is covered with open bush, while that in the Pourewa Valley and also on the Turakina side consists of level country.
