A resolution in reference to the maintenance of the Christchurch road being taken over by the General Government has been passed unanimously in the "Westland Council. Xn justice to Westland, remarks the West Coast Times, it is to be hoped that the General Government will at length do tardy justice to the Province, It is probable that the resolution arrived at will have considerable weight, especially if the cause is vigorously supported, as wo have no doubt it will be, by the representatives of the West Coast.
