Brandies still continue in considerable demand. At Mr. R. J, Duncan’s sale yesterday, Henncssy s sold at 30s. ; teas ranged from 18s. Gd. to 235. Cd ; crashed loaf sugar brought &£<!.; 1.C., Cd., and C. 395. A large number of miscellaneous articles were sold at the same time, fetching moderate prices, the bidding being dull. Shortly after the arrival of the Taranaki, Mr. G. Thomas sold 177 cases of aj/ples, shipped at tho Manukan, There was a largo attendance of fruiterers and others, and the bidding was very animated. Various
lots were knocked down to some ten purchasers, at prices ranging from 11s. to Hs. Gd., some of the best class fetching 12s. Gd. A piece of land, comprising six and a half acres, opposite Valentine’s Hotel, at the Hutt, brought £225. BY TELEGRAPH. AUCKLAND.
