In compliance with a requisition signed by 73 Members of the Society, and in accordance udth Rule 27, I hereby call a GENERAL MEETING of the Society to be held in the Side Room of the Odd Follow’s Hall, Lambton Quay, on MONDAY, the 15th instant, at 8 p.m., when the following addition will be proposed to be made to Rule 13 : “Or they may purchase Freehold or Leasehold Property, which they may Lease, Mortgage, or deal with as may be deemed most advantageous to the interests of the Society.” No other business will be transacted. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Meeting of the City Council, held on the 11th ultimo, it was resolved that of the water rate made in December last, two-thirds should be collected for the current year. All ratepayers situated within one hundred yards of the water mains are liable to pay rates, and are requested to do so forthwith. By order, WM. HESTER, Town Clerk.
