Church of England Education Society, Wellington.

A T the Annual General Meeting of the **- Members of the Church op England Education Society, held at the Thorndon School-House, on the 21st February last, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted, viz. : — " That is desirable that the standard of secular education of these schools, in connection with the Church of England, be raised as high as possible." In order to give effect to the said resolution the Local Committee have determined to arrange, with as little delay as possible, each of the Society's Schools in Wellington into upper, middle, and lower departments ; particulars as follows :— Lower Department.

The instruction given in this division of the School will be adapted to the capacities of the children. Terms — Eightpence per week, or Seven Shillings quarterly, paid in advance. Middle Department. Course of Instruction. English Reading History of England Spelling - General Geography Grammar Arithmetic Composition Writing Terms — One Shilling per week, or Eleven Shillings per quarter, paid in advance. Upper Department.
