Q.ENTLEMEN,— My acceptance of a seat in the Executive Council having made it necessary for me to resign my seat in the Legislature, I return ray trust into your hands, and come before you again to seek the honour of being re-elected your Representative. The part I took in the debates and votes of last session will decide whether I am entitled to the approbation of my constituents, and may claim a renewal of their confidence. If lam once more chosen to represent you, my votes shall be guided by a constant regard for the interests of the District, while as a Member of a Government responsible to the people for the advice they may tender the Superintendent, my earnest desire and aim will be, never to tender that advice except for the welfare of the Province, and in a spirit of justice and moderation to all.
