Sub-Committee Aquatic Sports. Carkepk, S. Sharp, Capt. Moore, G. Varnham, J. Muir, J. Walden, J. Rhodes, W. B. Sailing Matches. Decked Vessels of 20 tons and under: — Prize £ Entrance £1 Cargo or open Boat R.ice :—: — Prize £ Entrance £1 Skiff and Dingy Race, length of keel 20 feet: Pize£ Entrance 10s Rowing Matches. Whaleboat Race, Prize S, Entrance £1 Gig Race, Prize £ Entrance £1 Licensed Watermen's Boat Race. Boats to be entered and rowed by owners. Prize £ Entrance ss.
Conditions,
Three Boats to' start in each race, or the Prize awarded vrjll not be given. The second Boat Ko receive the entrance
money. All disputes to be decided by the Sub- Committee. Entrances for the different races to be made to the Secretary at Barrett's Hotel, on Thursday and Friday Evening, from 8 to 10 o'clock. No person will be allowed to enter a Boat for any race unless he is a subscriber to the Fete Fund of half a guinea, and no subscriber will be allowed to enter more than one Boat for each race.
Sub-Committee for Horse Racing. Hamley, J. O. Raymond, J. C. Jillett, R. Wakefield, E. J. M'Donell, J. With power to add to their number. A Hurdle Race, open to all untrained Horses: Prize £ Entrance £1: Is.
Cart Horse Race, for horses that have been drawing a cart on the Beach for the last six months ; owners to ride :—: — Prize £ Entrance 10s
Beaten Stakes for Horses that have not won in the' previous Races :—: — Prize " Entrance ss.
Maori Race, for Horses owned and ridden by Maories : — >i * . Prize £ Entrance ss.
Conditions.
No person will be allowed to name a H ; orse unless he is a Subscriber of half a guinea to the Fete Fund. . . , . ' Entrances will be received up to the time of running. The Entrance Money will be given to the
second horse in each race. If the Funds should allow of any .other sports, they will be advertised in Saturday's
