Sydney Shipping. The stenmer Ann, Capt. Gibbs, arrived at Sydney from Nelson on the 21st October, after a passage of 12 days. She came in under canvass in consequence of the starboard connecting rod having broken 'short off/causing other damage to her machinery. This occurred off Cape Farewell ; the funnel was immediately unshipped and placed fore and aft the deck. Notwithstanding this disadvantage she made the run from Cape Farewell in nine days, two of which were nearly calm. — Empire. The Admiral Grenfell arrived at Sydney on the 15th October and was to sail for Port Cooper on the 7th Nov. The Scotia and William Alfred arrived at Sydney on the 1 7th Oct. The Spray sailed for Nelson on the sth Nov. The Chrishna sailed for Otago via Twofold Bay on the 12th Oct. 1 The schooner Cheetah entered outwards on the &th of November, for Wellington. The barque Penyard "Park from "Wellington, arrived I at' Melbourne on the 25th October. • '
