Lescher's No. 1 Starch.
Hpl-IE Undersigned have been appointed Agents by Messrs. Joseph Lescher, Son,
& Co. for the Sale of their No. 1 Starch This Starch can be prepared with or without boiling, retains its stiffness in damp atmospheres better than any other, works smoothly under the Iron, and may be had in packages of various sizes suitable for the trade. Inconsequence of the fraudulent imitation of Messrs. Lescher & Co.'s label by a Van Diemen's Land manufacturer, a spurious starch has frequently been sold in the Australian markets to the prejudice of the genuine article. The excellency of the original No. 1, as imported by the undersigned, may be inferred from the fact of this number having been awarded to Messrs. Lescher by the Commissioneis of the London 13oard of Excise. HOLDSWORTH, KNOWLES, & CO. Lambton-quay, September 27, 1853.
Sadler, Firth, and Ross' Manufactures.
nPHE Undersigned have been appointed Agents by Messrs. Saddler, Firth, and Ross, for their celebrated Mustard and Linseed and Boiled Oils, manufactured at the Soutbwark Mills, LondoD, and highly approved in the American and Australian markets.. The Mustard at present on sale comprises only the first quality double superfine in bottles and tins. The linseed and boiled oils contain great body, and for many purposes are used as a substitute for varnish. HOLDSWORTH, KNOWLES, & CO; Lambton-quay, September 27, 1853.
