Rio Janeiro- It is proposed that Chile should mediate a peace between her neighbours, Great Fire in Valparaiso. — There have been several large conflagrations ia Valparaiso. One on the 24th March, began aboat I o'clock in the morning, in the corner of San Juan De Dios in the store of Rodriguez and Rodngo. The whole amount of loss by fire within two weeks was not less than 300,000 dollars, — Alta California. May 24.
Ahgentine Republic— -On the 9th March, a treaty of peace was entered into between the Argentine Republic, and Buenos Ayres. The principal points of the treaty are that r—l.r — 1. The deputies of Bnenos Ayres shall take part in the Geoeral Congress. 2. That Genera? Urquiza shall be Secretary of Foreign Affairs(bright point in a treaty that.) 3. General Urquiza is security for the order and authorities of Buenos Ayres. 4. Recognition of aid lent. 5, Amnesty for the past. Bolivia.-— -The port of Cobija was about being blockaded by the naval forces of Peru.
